FOR SALE - 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited Hybrid w/ Heated Seats, 4WD, Rear A/C, JBL Audio, 3rd Row seats, rear camera. The interior is very nice, but the body has some scratches and dings as well as missing the fog-light on the driver's side. In the spring of 2011, a car backed into the Highlander while it was parked in the driveway. It did some damage to the front grill and headlight and was repaired at Southland Body Shop, Oxford, MS. About a month later we drove the Highlander to Destin, Florida. On the return trip, the car overheated and stalled. It was towed to the Toyota dealership in Jasper, Alabama, On June 4, 2011. The technicians there diagnosed that the previous wreck had caused damage beyond the body, and that this damage had gone undetected. The collision had caused a crack in the Hybrid cooling system. Because the system then overheated on the highway, the whole thing had to be replaced. The Toyota dealership in Jasper replaced the entire Hybrid cooling system, and the cost was about $7, 000, paid either by Toyota or the insurance company. I never heard which, but we did not pay for it. It was there for about two weeks for repairs. It has not had a problem with the cooling system since. It has ~86, 500 miles on it and I have the CARFAX.
